Concrete Playground is Looking for an Intern

Are you a fresh grad or uni student looking to cut your teeth in the world of professional creative writing? Do you thrive off the written word? Do you eat dictionaries for breakfast? Can you wield a camera? Are you a wee bit of a grammar Nazi? Well, we may just have a spot for you on our team here at Concrete Playground.

Concrete Playground is looking for an intern to join our team for a fixed three-month stint, starting immediately.

About you:

You love learning about new things. You love eating. You love a lot of things, really. Including lamp. You navigate the fields of highbrow and lowbrow culture like a pro: you know your memes and trends, but it doesn't stop you from making quality-based judgments detached from hype. You can spit out witty short form at a moment's notice but also like taking your time doing longer, more investigative pieces. You know how to use a semicolon.

We aim to be the most trusted and authoritative guide to cities across Australia and New Zealand. In other words, we want to show people the best cool shit to do, eat and drink around town in a funny, truthful, reliable and interesting manner.

The ideal candidate MUST:

- Be able to write original, creative and honest copy in a timely manner

- Love living in Auckland

- Deliver accurate copy

- Be passionate about writing

- Be available to work a minimum of 5 hours per week

Extra points for:

- Photography/video skills

- Sub-editing skills

- Having an enthusiasm for clever puns
