Custom Design Your Own Ray Bans

Aviator, Wayfarer or Justin? Standard, gradient or mirrored lenses? A personal engraving? The choice is now yours.

Personally designed Ray Bans, once only accessible to film stars and the like, are now within reach of the general public. It's just a matter of jumping on the company's website, making a handful of aesthetic decisions and hitting the order button. Oh, and having a spare few hundred dollars at hand, of course.

The Remixer allows customisation of pretty much every aspect of the glasses, from model to colour scheme to lense type. Metal Aviators, new and old Wayfarers in gloss and matte, and Justins are all on the selection list. Lenses come in Solid, Faded and Mirrored styles. Plus, it's possible to add a personal engraving of up to ten characters (five on each side).

Ray Ban, 'by far the most widely sold [eyewear] in the world', was established in 1937. The Aviator, designed for the American Air Force, was the very first model produced, and saw extensive use during the Second World War. Ray Ban joined the Luxottica brand portfolio, which also includes Oakley, Persol, REVO and Vogue, in 1999.
