Thanks to Spark Lab, Scruffy haired musos have now ventured out from their government-funded Grey Lynn bedroom studios, wannabee fashionistas have been dragged away from perfecting their Ponsonby Road man buns, and now comes the chance for the nerdier ones among us to lose the third form bowl cut, shake off that Counter Strike come down, and dream for something bigger than a part-time job at Dick Smith Electronics.

Stereotypes aside, Spark Lab has just launched its new phase, with dedicated events inspiring innovation in technology. This follows months that have focused on music, and fashion.

At Spark Labs Britomart headquarters there will be talks and workshops from tech brands and entrepreneurs throughout March. Included will be a 'create your own app' competition, an old tech vs new tech comedy debate hosted by Dai Henwood, the opportunity to have a crack at using a 3D printer, and a chance to pitch yourselves against a few well renowned 'all stars'  in a Playstation competition.

For those with technological aspirations, or even just an above average interest in this ever changing industry, make sure you get yourselves to one or more of these events. Have a look through their website for further details.
