Overview

Having trained under Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart, Matt Wilkinson knows a thing or two about cooking. Originally hailing from Yorkshire, the chef made a name for himself in Melbourne creating big, bold dishes with local ingredients. His enthusiasm for seasonal food is made clear at both of his co-owned restaurants: casual eatery Pope Joan and Spudbar - known for serving 'slow food – fast' and in two cook books: Mr Wilkinson's Favourite Vegetables and Mr Wilkinson's Simply Dressed Salads.

In town for Restaurant Month, Wilkinson is set to team up with Odettes' Josh Kucharik to unveil a preview of the new menu for Pope Joan before launching it across the ditch. Twelve dishes will be served banquet style with matching wines.
