Overview

For adventurous souls and for those who aspire to become more adventurous, the Banff Mountain Film Festival will provide ideal inspiration. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is the most wide reaching and highly regarded mountain film festival in the world.

Handpicked from 360 films that entered into the annual festival,  selected films travel to faraway landscapes, introduce remote cultures, and will bring audiences up close and personal to action sports the world over.

This years programme includes films and documentaries that explore hiking mountain ranges in Patagonia, skiing big mountain spines in Alaska and deep pillows in BC, rock climbing in the South African wilderness, and a tale of two Brits who set out to row across the Indian Ocean with little to no rowing experience.

The festival is rather popular in our part of the world, tickets tend to sell out quickly so be sure to pre-purchase.
