Overview

After welcoming a little human of his own into the world recently Cori Gonzalez-Macuer has a tough job ahead of him sheltering her from all the things he dislikes about the world. In his first show since becoming a father, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer this year takes audiences through his own real life cringe-worthy experiences, his distaste for local celebrities and tips to the simple minded in his 50-minute contribution to this year's festival.

The show flows from its beginning to end and Cori leaves little room for error with the conciseness of his routine flowing as though it's 2006 and he's up for the Billy T Award all over again. Cori embraces the quirkiness and at times seemingly awkward persona he skillfully emits to leverage timing and harshness of jokes into warm bundles of laughter. The integration of rhetorical questions invites at times unwanted audience participation which is embraced by Cori's fast thinking and quick wit.

Performing within the intimacy of the Basement Theatre the show is ideal when seeking high quality comedy from a seasoned and reliable comedian. Delivering on his objective to expel yet another memorable show, keep an eye out for future works by the man with exponential potential, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer.
