Overview

The Kiwi-led experience labelled ‘Top of the Popups’ and ‘London’s best party’ by influential UK press will come to Waiheke Island this Valentine’s Day. Flamingo Pier celebrates street food, booze and disco with an overarching goal of being the perfect summer party.

Run by expat Kiwis Tom Seaton and Luke Walker, Flamingo Pier was launched on a floating pontoon and canal boat in East London’s Hackney Wick. After a sold out summer run, they’re coming home to set up in the natural amphitheatre of Rangihoua Estate Olive Grove.

London craft brewery CRATE will be throwing down an exclusive batch of Pale Ale for the event, Ponsonby cocktail bar Bedford Soda & Liquor will be serving concoctions from their new menu as well as a brand new signature cocktail collaboration, Tom’s Rum Shack will be serving the perfect Pina Colada recipe and other Rum based treats, and a number of hand picked wines from the Island will also be up for grabs. Guests will also be able to treat themselves to food from free range rotisserie chicken restaurant Bird on a Wire and London-based burger enthusiasts Bearded Clam.

As the sun disappears disco jams will be kicked out by a range of local and international acts including: Australian producer Late Nite Tuff Guy, DFA Records signee Marcus Marr, Auckland's Dick Johnson, Sydney DJ Rocco Raimundo, Heard - the new collaborative project of Tim Richards and Flamingo Pier residents Luke Walker and Dommy J.
