Like a school fair but with better food, better games, and just better in every way really.

Overview

Kelmarna Community Gardens are hosting their annual autumn fundraiser this Sunday. Like a school fair but better food, better games, better in every way really.

In order for the organic gardens to grow and thrive, support is needed from locals and foodies alike, hence the reason for the fundraiser. The free event runs from 11am until 3pm and within the jam-packed four hours there will be food foraging, fermenting workshops, yoga, composting training, crafts and a real, live fairy for the kids. There is even a beekeeping workshop for those game enough.

What food do they have on offer? Well given that it's hosted around lunchtime (and in an organic garden) there are plenty of options available. Never mind trying to hustle a table at Orphans Kitchen, Tom Hishon and the Orphans team will be offering a sizzling barbie in the paddock; Bread & Butter Bakery will be up at 5am baking delicious treats and bread to serve on the day, and Little Bird will have your vegan needs covered. Millers Coffee will keep you buzzing throughout the event and Tommy & James will be serving up Nice Blocks to keep you cool in the heat of the day.

To top off the beautiful day of activities and great food, Luke Hurley and Club Manouche will be performing live music for you to enjoy in the sunshine while you sip your kombucha and perform your sun salutations. Sounds like a pretty sweet Sunday morning to us.
