Overview

Auckland is getting its very first Mexican festival, giving you the chance to experience the sounds of Mexico.

Mexfestival is collaborating with local artists and businesses and aims to explore through art and dance, the international understanding of the Mexican culture. With a full lineup on the day, you can expect to see a Mariachi band, Aztec dance performances, Mexican singers and folklore dance performances liven up The Cloud on the waterfront.

There will be traditional food and drinks on offer and plenty for the whole family to enjoy so take make the most of it and invite the little ones in your life out for the day — give them something a little different to share at show and tell. Make sure you wear something you can dance in — during the day you may just find yourself in a salsa masterclass.

Organise for the kids to be picked up before 5.30pm because as the sun sets the after party kicks off and there's a great lineup of music to keep you on your feet, including samba, salsa, and bachata. If the Facebook event is anything to go by, this is going to be a massive event so get your tickets now.
