As part of his The Good Fight world tour, beatmaker/rapper/producer Oddisee will make the trip to New Zealand for two shows.

Finding his feet as a beatmaker and a rapper in his neighbours basement, Oddisee has since taken his talents to the world, lending his diverse skill set to The Roots, Jazzy Jeff, De La Soul, Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke. As a self-described “hip hop extremist,” it’s strictly about the music for Oddisee, and he attempts to connect with the listener through everyday problems like boredom and inequality, instead of falling into the hip-hop trap and rapping about drugs and murder.

Oddisee’s latest album The Good Fight his seventh project in eight years. The album retains his organic brand of hip-hop, while using his hometown, his family’s native Sudan and his current space, New York City, as lyrical inspiration. It’s only one of many recent projects for Oddisee, who is due to drop an instrumental release and another full-length album before the year is out; just in time for his two December shows.
