Overview

These talks are a wonderful opportunity to come along, hear from successful creatives about their careers and find out about the wonderful work that Studio One is doing. Hosted at 5:30 on a Wednesday night, they are a perfect little injection of inspiration to get you past your mid week blues. And of course, the wine doesn't hurt either.

Studio One is a council-run artist space and outreach centre. They have a wide variety of different spaces available for emerging and established artists, and an extensive program of exhibitions, performances, classes and workshops. Open nights at Studio One are an opportunity for anyone who is interested to come along, find out a little more about this community space and hear from an established artist about their career.

On Wednesday the 10th of June in collaboration with the Auckland Photography festival Joseph Michael will speak. Joseph has most recently created a beautiful series of long exposure photographs in the Antarctic as well as 24-hour long timelapses of New Zealand landscape for Dark Cloud / White Light. He will be discussing his most recent work and his career.
