Overview

Organisers of leading electronic festival Our:House will be looking for a repeat of last year’s sell out event after extending an invite to one of the biggest electronic groups in the world.

All members of dancehall inspired project Major Lazer will come to New Zealand for this year’s day-long festival. Made up of producers Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, with a regularly rotating cast of vocalists, the group are best known for their genre-spanning bangers, fusing everything from reggae and moombahton to electro house and pop. The group released their third album Peace Is the Mission earlier this year, led by the chart-topping single ‘Lean On’. Major Lazer last played in New Zealand at the final Big Day Out in 2014, joined by two twerking dancers and Lorde.

Fellow Major Lazer collaborator DJ Snake will also make his way to Our:House. The French DJ and rapper struck gold last year with the viral sensation ‘Turn Down For What’. The pairing with crunk rapper Lil Jon charted across the world and gained umpteen award nominations for its bizarre video.

Further internationals include British deep house DJ Duke Dumont, Dutch music producer Oliver Heldens, and Swedish duo Galantis. The line-up will be rounded off with a whole lot of local acts.

Our:House will be held at Mount Smart Stadium on November 27, 2015. Organisers have promised several stages, an enormous marquee and carnival rides spread out throughout the stadium.

With the event selling out of pre-sales, there’s only one chance left to register for door sale tickets. Register via the Our:House website.
