SUITS

Have fun and run with it (or just deal with it).

Overview

Running as part of Auckland Live's International Cabaret Festival, SUITS gives a middle finger to the age-old discipline; swapping out typical vampy sexuality with unapologetically feminist and frank commentary on sex and the self-deprecation of single life.

The show aims to be fearless and free, and wants the audience to have fun and run with it (or just deal with it). It follows the New York movement of alternative-cabaret where the rule book is thrown out the window and the lines between music, comedy and performance art are blurred into one fabulous mess.

Jessie Cassin leads an all female cast of Claire Cowan, Hariet Ellis, and Katie Everingham on a red wine rant of confessions, memories and feminist observations whilst belting out big songs from '80s hits to who knows. She's drunk. Anything can happen.
