Overview

Following on from a performance at the 2014 Big Day Out, Manchester indie-pop four-piece The 1975 will return to Auckland for one show at the Logan Campbell Centre.

Having previously performed and released material under guises Talkhouse, The Slowdown, Bigsleep, and Drive Like I Do, the band eventually settled on the name The 1975 after frontman Matt Healy saw the date in a book. They have four EPs and one full length album to their name. The latter of which (oddly described as “a love letter to youth, played out in bold and brash technicolor”) debuted at number one in the UK Albums Chart.

The show will add to the 400+ performances the band have given in the last 18 months.
