Overview

As part of Auckland Live's summer entertainment programme, Summer in the Square, indie-folk act Tiny Ruins will assemble for a free performance in Aotea Square. The one-off gig is the group's first local appearance after selling out two nights at Avondale's Hollywood Theatre last December.

Since releasing her stunning debut EP Some Were Meant For Sea in 2011, Hollie Fullbrook has evolved Tiny Ruins into a full band, signed to a holy trinity of influential labels, gained praise from New York Times and collaborated with the likes of David Lynch and Hamish Kilgour. Her music takes audiences through a melodious tale filled with storybook lyrics and delicate guitar rhythms.

The Summer in the Square appearance is a rare opportunity to see the band for free. Support from Calypso country, electric-Cuban and tele-fingerpickin' three-piece, Archie.
