Overview

Maybe it's because your bank balance reads nil, your fashion sense bares similarities to Andy (The Devil Wears Prada) pre-Prada, or because you pronounce pinot gris, 'pee-not griz'. For one reason or another, you're just not attending the annual New Zealand Polo Open.

Albeit depressing, Veuve Clicquot has concocted a remedy for all FOMO sufferers with the Veuve Clicquot Rosé Garden Pop-up at Ostro. Translation: The polo is coming to Ostro.

Acknowledging that the Auckland elite need more than one day to exploit their flutes and florals; for two weeks post-polo the expanse of Ostro's deck will be transformed into a rosé garden. Here, guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at mallet mini-putt, while enjoying surroundings reminiscent of the garden marquee from the polo itself.

To continue the celebrations, Clicquot has teed up further activity on the Seafarers rooftop. Guests are invited to ascend the staircase, joining  floral designer Millie Austin of La Femme Fleur as she hosts a series of masterclasses. Choose one of three evenings, and from 6:30 to 8pm receive intimate teachings as to how best create a bespoke floral piece, staying satiated with rose-inspired canapés and a couple of rounds of mini-putt throughout.
