Hailing from the home of Snoop Dogg and countless other legendary rappers, Vince Staples is the next in line. He's a rapper with a conscience, using his platform to unleash insightful social commentary and biting lyricism onto the airwaves. His precise delivery and thoughtful writing earned his debut album, Summertime 06, a spot amongst the most acclaimed records of the year. And rightly so, it's a modern  gangster rap classic up there with How to Pimp a Butterfly.

Fans lost the plot when he recently released Prima Donna, a six-track EP featuring production from the likes of NO I.D and James Blake, and acting as proof that Staples is still at the top of his game. Off the back of another successful release, a headline tour of the States and countless festival features the man himself is leaving the shores of Long Beach and travelling to Auckland for one show only.
