Lovers of "really fucking hot" chicken are in for a treat as Australian cult southern-style fried chicken joint Belle's Hot Chicken touches down in Auckland.

Belle's is the brainchild of renowned Australian chef and former Nashville resident Morgan McGlone and Miranda Campbell. The pair have been combining spicy, spicy fried chicken with cool, cool natural wine and a bunch of hip hop since opening their first store in Fitzroy, Melbourne in 2014. They've since opened a further two restaurants in Melbourne and two in Sydney, and featured on everything from Masterchef Australia to F*ck, That's Delicious with Action Bronson.

The Belle's Hot Chicken & Natural Wine Pop-Up with descend on contemporary yum-cha restaurant Culprit from January 8 - 9, 2017

The format of the event is a kitchen takeover, so only the Belle's menu will be offered including their infamous "really fucking hot" Nashville-style fried chicken with sides and sauces, and an all-natural wine list put together by New Zealand's only 100% natural wine distributor, Wine Diamonds.

The kitchen will be staffed by Belle's chefs Morgan McGlone and Scott Eddington, along with Culprit chefs Jordan Macdonald and Kyle Street.

The Belle's Hot Chicken & Natural Wine Pop-Up will take place at Culprit (Level 1, 12 Wyndham St, CBD) on Sunday, January 8 and Monday, January 9, 2017 from 12pm until late. The regular Culprit service will resume on Tuesday 10 January. For more info visit: www.culprit.co.nz/belles-takeover
