Overview

On a trip to review Mr Zhou's Dumplings I found myself in the unfamiliar New Lynn wasting the last of my petrol, as I was yet to realise that it's not open on a Monday night. But nevertheless i was set on reviewing something, so I tried four doors up the street. A place simply named Chinese Noodles. We entered the simple restaurant and sat down to quickly get in our order and beat the rush. I'm seriously glad we did, because it took a lot longer than I expected to receive our food and there seemed to be a priority for the regular customers over us.

What I will say is that the food was really delicious. We had some lamb skewers to start with chilli sauce on top. Wow, it's been a while since I've had any kind of meat that good. Then, about fifteen minutes later, our dumplings finally came. However once again they were so good. Pipping hot and crispy in all the right places. it's also worth noting the value at this restaurant we got fifteen pan-fried dumplings for $10.

This restaurant would be a great place to hit during the day, when it's quiet. Or maybe even just put in a phone order and pick-up. Either way it definitely has re-kindled my love for dumplings and I'll be back to review their neighbours (the infamous) 'Mr Zhou's Dumplings'. Watch this space for info on which is better.
