Overview

Where East meets West, North meets South, the Orbit restaurant located at the top of Auckland's Sky Tower provides the penultimate dining experience.  High flying Architect Andrew Lister has delivered a visual delight, where the rotating 360 degree views of Auckland city isn't the only thing that impresses you and your date.

With a minimum spend per head of $30.00, this was easily reached with the $26-$34 Main Meals, a $55 bottle of wine, and a $16 entree. Our waiter delivered our Mussels entree and mains of beef sirloin and Lamb dishes at a timely manner, and can safely say nothing was left on the plate.  I still find myself thinking about the sirloin and its jus, so truly can say that the value was worth it.

However, the sour taste that almost ruined the entire experience is the parking situation at SKYCITY.  When you park at SKYCITY, you can get your ticket validated to provide you with a discount.  However, come on SKYCITY, after spending $160.00 at your establishment, you could surely justify a free park in the ample of space you have below your building. Atleast ensure that for monkeys such as myself whom try to leave without paying, that we don't have to back the car up from the gate, get out, walk all the way back to the lifts to pay. Grrrr...
