Overview

I have yet to visit Italy, but the imagination says that everyone there lords about, eating good food, drinking copious amounts of wine and yelling and gesticulating in such a passionate way that only the Italians can make look sexy. Pane & Vino is Auckland's little slice of Italia. Perfect for a BYO, they have the ideal set up, indoor and outdoor with room enough for the noise and frivolity of even your most raucous soiree.

The food probably needs little comment, everyone loves Italian. Bruschetta is one of my favourite things - the combination of crusty bread, ripe tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella and drizzled with olive oil always reminds me that I really do need to go and live in Italy. Sooner rather than later. Obviously, the menu is filled with wonderful pizza and pasta options. Complete your experience with some Limoncello shots, delicious and so lemony.

An excellent set menu is also on offer which can be perfect when organising a large group or party. On the subject of group bookings, their website has a rather extensive set of conditions to be followed when booking your party. Located at the top of Williamson Ave, Pane & Vino is suitably found in the heart of Ponsonby and provides a bellissimo way for your night to begin.
