While working out alone can be the ideal opportunity for some sweat-drenched introspection, it also tends to fall short when you’re looking for an extra shove in the motivation department. For 500 Auckland women this March, finding a work out buddy shan't be a problem.

Declared as "an epic workout experience like no other", the Nike+ Training Club (NTC) LIVE event will come to New Zealand for the first time on Saturday 19 March. Taking place at Auckland’s Next Gen Dome with a bona fide Global Nike Master Trainer at the helm, the event will see 500 women in pushing their limits side-by-side across a series of workouts, including: pilates, running and high-intensity interval training.

The lengthy five-hour workout session will be broken up with rests, when participants will have access to lounge areas, beauty and massage stations and current Nike products. The day will conclude with a performance from local DJs and MC Aroha Harawira.

Registrations for NTC are now open. To prepare budding participants for the fitness slog, Nike has launched a six-week training program from February 6 to March 19, led by Global Nike Master Trainer Kirsty Godso, Nike NZ Head Coach Lydia O’Donnell and other NTC trainers. Each Saturday session will unfold in various Auckland locations. Women are encouraged to recruit their training squads for extra support.
