Longhorn Saloon Has Opened An Upstairs Band Room

Longhorn Saloon ain't just for burgers and a good piece of steak any more. Carlton's killer Americana-themed grill house is officially getting in on Melbourne's vibrant live music scene with the opening of its very own band room.

Located above the restaurant and bar on the corner of Elgin and Rathdowne streets, The Longhorn Saloon band room can fit up to 180 people. The interior consists of a mix of exposed brick and timber, rounded out by brass fittings that befit the warm, welcoming vibes that diners downstairs have come to expect.

As for the kinds of acts that'll grace the Longhorn Stage, take a gander at their freshly inked lineup for the Labour Day long weekend — and all for free. It all starts on Thursday March 9 with sets by local DJs including DJ Richie1250, Annaliese Redich, Matt McFetridge and Chinabone. Friday will see guitarist Davey Lane behind the mic, followed by Bonnie Love on Saturday. Finally, Monday will feature a performance from a secret international headliner, billed only as "a singer, songwriter, guitarist and banjo player from upstate New York."
