Seattle electronic duo Odesza last visited our shores in January for a sold out show at Auckland’s Kings Arms Tavern. Come September, the pair will be back again to show off their brand of eclectic instrumental hip-hop, this time in upsized venues and with a second pit stop in Wellington.

The recording project began in 2012 after friends Harrison Mills (aka Catacombkid) and Clayton Knight (BeachesBeaches) graduated from uni. After taking their name from a family member’s sunken ship, they quickly released their first full length album, Summer’s Gone. The LP cemented the pair’s arrival in the underground electronic scene, gaining international attention and two tracks reaching #1 on Hype Machine.

The My Friends Never Die EP soon followed and they cut their teeth on the festival touring circuit. Following the release of their second album In Return last September, they embarked on their first headline tour. Continuing the momentum, and off the back of 66 million SoundCloud streams, they’re at it again with dates scheduled in and around the UK, Europe, and Australasia, as well as every major music festival across the U.S.
