Overview

Playshop Live is a weekly dose of Wellingtonian short form theatre improvisation held at BATS Theatre every Friday at 10pm.

Improv theatre first took off around 391 BC in Rome, but it wasn't until vaudevillian actor Dudley Riggs started creating audience suggestion-based theatre improv troupe Brave New Workshop early last century that style started resembling the Who's Line Is It Anway?-type of skits we have today.

Head over to watch a rotating cast of 34 of Wellington's freshest comedic acting talents perform.
