Overview

The converted containers have welcomed a new addition to their family - Georgia. The brainchild of Stories espresso bar, Georgia is situated on the corner of Dixon and Victoria Street. Stories and the new Georgia are social enterprises with the aim of providing first-time employment to high school-age young people. Georgia takes its name from their first young employee earlier this year, Georgia Hudson. The new site offers the same quality espresso as Stories, but joining them are ten of Wellington’s best bakers from some of our city’s most well-loved eateries, whom have each created a limited edition donut each weekday beginning from the 17th to and finishing on the 28th of August.

Georgia’s doors will open from 7.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday beginning on the 14th of August and continuing as a pop-up for four to six weeks. People have been seen gathering as early as 7.15am to get their hands on one of these donuts and the lines going up all the way up Dixon Street. Only 400 donuts are available every morning and have been selling out by 10am. There is now a limit of only two per person, so make sure you head in their early if you want to find out what all the fuss is about.
