Overview

Located down the southern end of Shed Five, the relatively new joint, with its seaside decor and junk store fit-out, plays a nice parallel to the fancy dining experience of its neighbour.

The Crab Shack, naturally, has a seafood focus with crab, unsurprisingly, being a key feature of many dishes. It’s hard to pick a favourite item from the extensive menu — but basically anything off the 'From the Charcoal Barrel' or 'From the Grill' list is going to leave you pretty chuffed. The market fish sliders are also definitely worth a mention, although given you can eat them in literally one mouthful, at $14 they can hike up the overall bill somewhat.

Very in line with the nautical feel of the shack, all beers and cocktails are served in jars. Not only is this a nice touch, but we’re sure you get just a little bit more than in a tumbler glass. No complaints here.

Next time Welly turns on the good stuff, head down the harbour for a lazy afternoon of brews in the sunshine. Mighty fine times.
