Overview

Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson have announced the first few acts for this year's Vivid LIVE festival, to be held in Sydney from May 27 to June 11.

Reed himself will perform with sonic experimentalist Ulrich Krieger and live-processing specialist Sarth Calhoun as Metal Machine Trio. Transitory Life, Laurie Anderson's latest solo audio-visual work, is a collection of songs and stories Anderson will be performing, and includes pieces from her acclaimed solo shows.

Two man Vice Mag party-machine King Khan & BBQ Show will be in town, as will Sharon Worden, better known as My Brightest Diamond and maybe even better known as Sufjan Steven's angelic backup on C'mon, feel the Illinoise!
