Free Cheesymite Scrolls
Bakers Delight is giving away 40,000 cheese and Vegemite scrolls to kids and kidults across Australia.
Overview
Getting a Cheesymite Scroll from Bakers Delight after a hard day of tearing up the playground was a tradition for many Aussies tykes.
Over the past 40 years, the Aussie bakery chain has sold about 100 million of the cheesy, Vegemite-y rolls (that's a casual 30 an hour) — and to celebrate reaching its fourth decade, it's giving away 40,000 of them.
Sure to excite kids and kidults alike, or at least evoke a touch of nostalgia, the giveaway is happening across Australia on Tuesday, September 29. If you're outside Victoria, all you need to do is rock up at your local bakery on the day and pick up a free scroll (and maybe a finger bun for dessert while you're there).
If you're in Victoria, though, the scrolls will be given out with random purchases to discourage big lines (like we saw happen with a certain doughnut giveaway).
Those in metro Melbourne will need to find a bakery in their five-kilometre bubble, too, which you can work out right here.
