Kangaroo Island Spirits has long been a pioneer of firsts. The earliest dedicated gin distiller in the country has now created the first gin made exclusively from Australian-grown, single-sourced juniper berries.

Developed to reflect the diverse natural surroundings and climate of Kangaroo Island, the First Harvest Juniper Gin uses common juniper that was planted at the distillery when it was established almost 20 years ago. Rounding out the robust flavours of the juniper berries are other botanicals grown on the property, including native thyme, cardamom leaf, angelica and lemongrass.
"We chose ingredients that would complement the juniper, add complexity, as well as showcase the flavours we have in our garden," shared Head Distiller Charlie Schmidt.
Because the gin is dependent on the growth cycle of the distillery's juniper trees, the gin will only be available in limited batches at certain times and won't be re-released annually, so make sure to get your hands on it now before the holidays.
