Overview
Founded by Irene and Peter Ludwig in 1989, the Ludwig Museum houses an extensive collection of over 12,000 works that span from antiquity to modern times.
The museum was the first of its kind beyond the Iron Curtain, receiving 70 major international art donations and housing 95 deposited works. In 2005, it moved to its current location in the Palace of Arts.
