Concrete Playground is designed with a responsive interface that allows for fast, seamless navigation across our readers' phones, laptops, desktops and tablets. Responsive sites like Concrete Playground adapt to the device they are being viewed on, meaning we serve the most relevant advertising units to each page so your brand is visible to all of our readers.

Site advertising requirements and guidelines

  • Concrete Playground serves ads via Google Ad Manager (GAM), formerly known as DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP).
  • Concrete Playground can either serve creative assets locally (via GAM) or using creative tags supplied by an approved third-party vendor.
  • For all locally-served ads, we require compressed HTML5, JPG or GIF files and a click-through URL. Maximum file size should not exceed 60KB.
  • If you are supplying HTML5 files to be served locally, please ensure that click tags are correctly implemented.
  • Any expandable ads must be third-party served, and include a clearly articulated close function (i.e. 'Close / X' button).
  • Flash advertising is not supported on the site.
  • Any sound-on ads must be click initiated by the user.
  • All assets must be SSL compliant and securely served using https://.
  • All creative assets must be received at least 5 days prior to campaign commencement.

Newsletter advertising requirements and guidelines

  • All newsletter ads are locally-served. We require JPG or GIF files and click-through URL(s). File sizes cannot exceed 30kb.
