Overview

Art in the Dark has postponed Thursday night's exhibition due to the rainy weather. Electricity, coils, nature and water don't make a wonderful mix after all.

Showcasing Auckland's brightest creative talent, Art in the Dark is Auckland's premiere exhibition of light-based art. See Western Park transformed into an open air art gallery for a unique night time exhibition, displaying luminous art works from over 40 local and international artists.

You can expect to find glowing bacteria, light drawing, live art, interactive installations, sculptures, performances and short films at Art in the Dark 2013. Bigger and better than ever, Art in the Dark is now across three nights instead of the previous two. This year's spectacular line-up also includes Art in the Dark Cinema, an Art in the Dark After Party and the Art in the Dark Photography Competition.

To enter the photography competition and have your image judged by filmmaker Taika Waititi simply snap a pic on Instagram or Twitter while you're visiting Art in the Dark. Tag it with #FordNZ #ArtintheDark and you'll be in to win a luxury weekend at Stamford Plaza and a Fuji camera.

The after party, After Dark with Absolut takes place on Saturday 9th Nov at Galatos Live. Tickets are $15, available here.
