Once again Auckland Diwali Festival, the magical festival of light and celebration of Hindu culture, will return for its 17th year to fill Auckland's Aotea Square with colour, light, music and magic.

Held across Saturday 20 and Sunday, 21 October, the free to attend event will run from midday to 9pm with a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dance and musical performance, food stalls showcasing delicious authentic Indian cuisine, art and crafts displays and henna workshops.

This bustling, vibrant festival will conclude on Sunday night with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the skies. This alcohol and smokefree event is a true celebration of Auckland's Indian culture.
