Overview

Whether you’re a budding prodigy or a veteran of your craft, the Design Assembly Autumn Conversations don’t discriminate. The event is exactly as its name suggests, a platform for conversation between likeminded individuals who want to share ideas, gain feedback and learn a little from some successful design veterans.

The event will see three sets of design seasoned speakers share their experiences - including both successes and failures - in the industry. Nik and Jen behind the large design agency Hardhat Design have experienced success worldwide, with their works featured in Vogue, The New York Times and The Independent amongst other esteemed media. Their clients range from fashion and beauty, to retail, food, interiors and even the Auckland Council.

Beard and Braid, headed up by artists Toby Morris and Sonya Nagels, who you might know as the mastermind behind creative blog alionessyou.com. With a boutique approach to the industry, the two produce varied design projects, including homewares, prints, jewellery, photography and art. The third speaker for the event is the creative agency Libby and Ben (no prizes for guessing the names behind the business), who simply define their business as a brand-building agency. The couple brand, develop, strategise, advertise, label, digitally create and design websites for their clients, who basically leave their brand baby in Libby and Ben’s hands, for the agency to raise and develop into a masterpiece.

If you’re interested in design, the Autumn Conversations make for an interesting storytime, or a networking pot of gold. Grab a bevy, supplied by All Good Organics, and be inspired.
