Overview

Iconic Kiwi band Fat Freddy’s Drop are set to play Auckland's Town Hall on Saturday, October 24 in support of their new album BAYSThe band will tour the rest of country over the coming months. The band's long-awaited fourth album has come at a perfect time to kick off the summer with some good reggae-fusion tunes. I definitely know it will be one playing on repeat for me over the warmer months.

This album is named after the Wellington studio where the band wrote most of the album. Frontman Dallas Tamaira (otherwise known as Joe Dukie) stated, “It’s been a more creative process,” with this album, which leaves a lot to look forward to on the night.

Fat Freddy’s Drop are a great band to see live, with a great vibe and a ton of energy on stage. As a band who have been playing together for a while now, their sets are tight, with the smooth jazz components incorporated into their songs. No novice act here, just quality New Zealand music.

Local hip hop act Team Dynamite will kick off proceedings.
