Feminists Are Funny
Have a laugh and help raise funds for the well-deserving Auckland Women's Centre.
Overview
For the third year in a row the mighty Michele A'Court will captain a squad of Aotearoa's top female and non-binary feminist comedians to raise funds for the well-deserving Auckland Women's Centre. This year's cackle-inducing lineup features several past Billy T Award winners and nominees, including recent victor Melanie Bracewell and the famously endearing Donna Brookbanks from TV3's Funny Girls. Fans of last year's fundraiser will be thrilled to see some returning faces, including Justine Smith and musical mirth-makers The Fan Brigade.
The Auckland Women's Centre provides services such as counselling and advocacy to over 3000 women annually, and A'Court aims to give them a boost so they can keep up their fantastic and vital work.
Feminists Are Funny takes over Q Theatre's Rangatira stage on Sunday, June 1.
