Overview

When contemplating what music would be accompanying the Corsini Renaissance Collection at Auckland's Art Gallery, Onehunga hip hop group SWIDT probably wasn't your first answer.

In association with VICE New Zealand, this event offers locals the chance to appreciate the collection in a juxtaposing and relaxed environment.

Having recently unleashed their latest album Stoneyhunga to appreciative audiences, SWIDT has shown their adaptable style and talent can entertain most. One of their most popular songs '312', which details the band's relationship with the 312 Onehunga bus fittingly goes right past the Art Gallery.

The Corsini Collection was put together by Senior Curator Mary Kisler who believes the works allow audiences to experience the history of an extraordinary family through masterpieces from Botticelli, Caravaggio Pontormo and Rigaud.

With food plus beer and wine available from the Epic Bar, this is sure to be a night of traditional elegance mixed with local charm.
