Overview

On March 18, the restaurateurs of Kingsland will turn inside-out as they serve signature dishes, street side. Expect Indian, American, Thai, Middle Eastern and Asian Fusion cuisines lining the curb and beyond, all in exchange for a fiver.

Start your food frenzy with one of Mekong Neua's tantalising Pat Thai satay chicken skewers; satisfy your vegan, dairy free and coeliac needs with Mondays Wholefoods (think: jackfruit tacos with guac and chimchurri or besan crepes with coconut curry); grab a plate of sizzling chicken from Kingsland institution, Canton Café; cleanse your palate and your conscience with a smoothie from Green Leaf Organics; and finally— although you may be rolling instead of walking by this stage— wrap up your evening by indulging in Al's Deli's low 'n' slow barbecue, featuring ten-hour pulled pork and brisket.

Props to the coolest little community for the initiative that caters to the grazers of society; the mortals who want everything for dinner but can never decide. Also, vast amounts of further props for enabling us to sample these delicacies for a mere $5 a plate.
