Overview

If you can't resist reaching for your phone come meal time, then maybe you should look at taking that snap-happy habit to the next level. The next edition of community event Laneway Learning will focus on Food Photography Hacks. Yes, taking photos of food has become such a common occurrence that they're now holding workshops on it.

The event will be led by Amber Khoo, a freelance food photographer from Malaysia. She will cover everything from: how to make food look good with natural or artificial lighting, the best angles for your food, simple food styling techniques and using props to compliment the food.

Photographers of all skill levels are welcome to attend, just take whatever device you most commonly use to take photos. There will be limited spaces so registering is recommended.

Laneway Learning is series of super informal evening classes taught by people from the local community. The event first started in Melbourne before making its way to Auckland.
