Overview

Glengarry Wines are craftily taking advantage of the mass of funny-people currently milling around Auckland. Their June beer tasting event will showcase Garage Project's stand-out brews, alongside stand-up from a selection of comedians straight from the NZ International Comedy Festival.

Because they can (and because they don't listen to cynics), the Wellington-based brewery has always chosen to make their craft beers available two ways; bottled and canned. What's more, because craft beers each have their own distinct qualities — much like comedians — each can of Garage Project beer stands out due to the customised artwork designed for its label.

The Laughed for Craft evening will be hosted by Ashton Brown — whose show Anxious To Meet You had an extra night added at the Comedy Festival — and will feature jokes from Brendan Kelly (Caveman), Louise Beuvink (Ladylike: A Modern Guide To Etiquette) and Scott W Long (I'm Scott W Long). With such a quality lineup, the only type of canned laughter you'll encounter here is if you take a badly timed sip.
