Kingsland craft brewery Urbanaut is opening its doors to the public at the end of the month for an afternoon of fresh beer and piping hot ramen.
The three lads from the Rangitikei will host Auckland's newest noodle joint Miso-ra inside their tasting room on 29 September. Run by husband and wife team Taku and Noriko Hida, Miso-ra operates out of a stall in Onehunga serving modern miso-based ramen — the four-item menu includes original miso, spicy miso, curry and vegan options — with noodles made from flour to further cater for vegetarian and vegan diners. Chef Taku has over 10 years of experience in the industry, including a stint at Anzac Ave's much-loved Tanpopo.
Kicking off at 2pm and running until 6pm, the event will see Urbanaut pour tasting trays to wash it all down.
