Overview

As part of Auckland Live's free outdoor entertainment series Summer in the Square, Retro Saturday will return to Aotea Square in full swing. Put on your dancing shoes and prepare to be transported back to the good old times this December.

There will music for the whole family. Mum and dad can boogie down to the sassy sounds of 1950s-60s party band The Rocking Roller-Coasters, gramps can take it back to the 1920s with 12-piece band Tuxedo Swing, and the younger ones can get down to DJ Tina Turntables. Swing dancing gang Swing Out Central will be on board to strut their stuff on the roll-out dancefloor, while encouraging a few onlookers in the process.

It's the perfect opportunity to grab the whole family and enjoy a tasty picnic. So, dance your way to Aotea Square and take a trip down memory lane this summer.
