The Do-Over

Red Bull Music Academy is hosting yet another good, free party. For yet another year, The Do-Over is coming to Mantells on the Water in Auckland's waterfront this December. All you have to do to attend is get yourself over to their website, confirm you're over 18 and pre-register your attendance. Easy.

Red Bull describes The Do-Over as "LA's sangria-sipping institution" which "has grown from an intimate backyard party into a global phenomenon", spreading the gospel of "heavy tunes and summer-time vibe".

Information on who will be bringing these summer-time vibes remains sparse. According to Red Bill, this year's bill will be featuring The Do-Over's regular "crew" as well as a few surprise DJs. Fingers crossed they pull a Rhythm and Vines and DJ Max Key shows up; we'll also take DJ Jacinda Ardern or DJ Chlöe Swarbrick. One of the last editions featured DJ Jazzy Jeff, so who knows?

2017 can't be a do-over but maybe it won't have to be after this party. Or maybe its 'summer-time vibe' will at least ease your acceptance of the soul-crushing state of the world for an eight-hour block of time. Here's hoping.
