Overview

The Kingsland Project is a passion project by Auckland commercial photographer, Lee Howell, that has documented the distinct characters and unique nature of one of Auckland's liveliest suburbs for the past few years.

For four days Lee will be taking over the neighbourhood, turning Kingsland's village into an open-air exhibition featuring over 30 large scale photographs installed on various shop fronts along New North Road. There will also be a small gallery of The Kingsland Project images installed at Frame Space during work hours for those who cannot make the open-air exhibition times.

The exhibition will be kicking off with a selection of suspended prints at the opening event at Atomic Coffee Roasters on Thursday 29 September. Attendees can come view the work, have a drink and afterwards wander down New North Road to view the beating pulse of Kingsland as it's never been seen before.
