With nine albums under their belt — each attesting to their brilliance and resonating sound — post-punk/indie Brits The Wedding Present return to New Zealand promising a veritable showcase of passion and heavy-hearted instrumentals.

Renowned for producing 'bittersweet melodies' and 'fiery hooks', the fellas have been reinventing the game since 1985 through a clash of genres which ticks boxes of eastern European folk music, right through to jangle pop.

Despite a revolving door of members since 1985, the current quartet has lost none of their scruffy, earnest essence however, with critics calling their 2016 album release Going, Going… an absolute masterpiece.

Original, acclaimed and innovative, come and catch these guys as they present their extraordinary back catalogue on a platter for one night only at the iconic Kings Arms Tavern.
