The magic of Disney will arrive at Cordis Auckland this September as the upscale property rolls out a series of themed high teas. Served at The Lobby Lounge between mid-September and January 2019, each high tea has been inspired by an upcoming Disney Studios title – Christopher Robin, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Mary Poppins Returns.
Cordis Executive Chef Volker Marecek and Executive Pastry Chef Callum Liddicoat have reimagined the high tea menu with an array of themed treats. Running from 14 September to 14 October, the Christopher Robin will be presented across three tiers. Among a selection of party sandwiches, travelling snacks and fluffy scones will be Piglet's Delight, a popcorn mousse with salted caramel and caramel popcorn; Pooh's Honey Pot, a honey ganache with lemon curd and honeycomb; plus a whimsical tea served with dry ice. A further selection of teas and coffees will be recommended by the onsite tea sommelier.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms high tea will run from 16 November to 16 December 2018, while the Mary Poppins Returns edition will be available from 28 December to 31 January, 2019.
Seatings for each high tea will run every Monday to Saturday from 11.30am to 2.30pm, and Sundays at 11.30am, 2pm and 4.30pm. The first 100 seats booked come with tickets to an accompanying preview movie screening. Make a reservation here.
