Menulog Will Deliver to Outdoor Events This Summer

Thunderous stomach gurgles in the quietest part of a film and hangriness at the front of the moshpit will soon be a thing of the past. In line with Auckland Council's recently announced summer program of free films and concerts, New Zealand food delivery company Menulog is launching an outdoor delivery service. The company will deliver meals from local restaurants surrounding 12 popular events in the 2018 Music and Movies in Parks series.

The initiative hopes attendees will spend more time soaking up the openair events with their favourite meal rather than queuing for a pottle of soggy chips. Menulog and its local restaurant partners will deliver to eight Movies in Parks events and four Music in Parks events, including Rock the Park in Grey Lynn and Summer Jam in Manukau, which have previously attracted more than 20,000 music fans.

The service will kick off this Sunday 3 December at Orākei Christmas Carols on the Green in St Heliers where attendees will be able to choose meals from six local eateries: Karachi Kebabs, Burgers and Café, Khana Indian For Food, Kebabs on Maskell, The Flying Pizza, Otto Woo and Fatucchi.

Menulog has more than 500 Auckland restaurants on its platform. Event-goers simply need to download the Menulog app, select one of the participating restaurants and put the destination in the delivery notes.
