Overview

The Seafarers building in Britomart comes with a bit of history. Once a dedicated lodging for transient sailors (there are still a few dorm rooms on the 1st floor), the now-hospo and entertainment-dominated building has welcomed two new additions on board. The restaurant Ostro, and concept store and coffee brew bar called Supreme Seafarers.

Located in the lobby of the building, and retaining the character of the 1970s seafarer lodging, the cafe/concept store is the embodies a welcoming spirit - with its super friendly and warm staff greeting customers like old friends a marked highlight of the visit.

And so is the coffee. Not ones to shy away from a brewed cup, or a nice flat white, coffee lovers of any kind can find their perfect coffee hit at Seafarers.

The little brew bar also serves food provided by Little and Friday. I tried a 'few' different morsels, the choc chip muffin ($4.50), scone ($4.50), vegetarian sandwich ($9), chocolate slice ($4.50) and salad ($7.50). Not only was each item reasonably priced (workday lunches shouldn't cost more than $10), each morsel had that innate ability keep my mouth hankering for more, the salad and chocolate slice especially amazing.

Well done Supreme Seafarers, you've navigated your way into our hearts.
