Overview

It’s been a long time coming, the opening of a Stolen Girlfriends Club flagship. The brand has been around since 2005, and garnered a whole lot of avid and loyal mannequins throughout the country since. I guess you could say, they’ve got a Stolen Girlfriends Club club. But for those of us who have eagerly coveted at least one piece from every collection, getting our hands on those garments was not always easy. Sure there have been a number of physical stockists around, between Superette and The Department Store, but previously the only place that stocked the entire SGC range was their online site, and call me old fashioned but that endless take-how-great-the-model-looks-like-in-outfit-and-quarter-it equation to determine whether you can pull off the piece is just too complex.

Alas, our prayers have been answered and everyone’s favourite brand with a quirky, raw edge finally has a place to call its own. The architectural geniuses at Fearon Hay have designed a store that fits the brand’s image and character like a Stolen Girlfriend’s glove, and the store is nestled amongst its high fashion siblings in the catwalk that is Nuffield Street. Streams of natural light thanks to far reaching windows brings out the tint in the flooring, and the organic glow of the wooden racks. Complementing the wooden interior is dark steel cabinetry housing SGC accessories and jewellery, all of which will lure you in and force you to try on and peer pressure you to purchase.
